The Integrative Medicine Forum is organized by an inter-professional student-run campus organization, the Integrative Medicine Network, and is sponsored by the UCSF Schools of Nursing, Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Medicine, as well as the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine.

Introduction to Ayurveda Fundamentals at Life Chiropractic College West, Hayward

This class will explain the approach of living in harmony with the natural world, including how emotions affect digestion, how spirituality plays a role in defining health, and how the natural rhythms of the day and seasons are directly linked to our personal and communal health.

Stress Management With Ayurveda & Yoga Workshop at Vedika Global

Sunday, April 27th, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm with lunch

Learn unique stress dissolving practices from the twin sciences of Ayurveda and Yoga. Class includes special Yoga Asanas and Pranayamas to counteract stress, daily practices to cultivate mental strength, relationship between food and stress, how to eat Ayurvedically in a way that will calm the mind and boost stress resistance, and a simple meditation to bring about relaxation and peace of mind.

Vedika teachers will facilitate a one-day Self-Care Retreat Day at the beautiful and spiritually charged Center for Spiritual Enlightenment. We are offering our popular Ayurveda Self-Care Course for the first time in summer. This is a powerful 100-hour immersion experience focused on health optimization. Teachings include hands on learning and demos of Ayurveda fundamentals, lifestyle, seasonal care, foods, cooking, home remedies, beauty recipes, yoga, pranayama, mediation, emotional health, and other whole person healing experiences.

Surya Namaskar Certificate Training Course at Vedika Global

Starts Saturday - Sunday, May 10th - 11th, 9:00 - 10:00 am

Learn a uniquely traditional Surya Namaskar practice that is anchored in Yoga's Vedic roots and facilitates shifts in consciousness, as well as improves physical health exponentially. One-hour classes will be held on the 2nd weekend of each month, from April through November (no classes in August). A Certificate of Training will be awarded at the end of the course.

This conference is being inaugurated by spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, and it promises to be a meeting ground of great minds and learning.

Ongoing Vedic Studies and Life Skills Satsangha at Vedika Global

1st and 3rd Thursday each month except August, 6:00 - 9:00 pm

Vedika Global’s Acharya Shunya teaches this Satsangha, which offers deep, traditional, scripture-based studies of the Vedas, and Vedic Sciences of Vedanta, Yoga, and Ayurveda.
