Vaidya Singh is an important and inspiring voice
in international teaching, promotion and contemporary research in Ayurveda,
along with the preservation of Ayurveda's
authentic character and standards.
He will be accompanied by Shunya Pratichi Mathur, Founder & Acharya(head teacher) of Vedika Gurukula and Vedika's Anchor Teacher from Pune, Vaidya Abhijit Jinde, M.D. Ayurveda.

During his four decades at the prestigious Banaras Hindu University, Vaidya Singh was Head of the Department of Ayurveda, and Dean of the Faculty, and subsequently the first Vice-Chancellor of Rajasthan Ayurveda University of Jodhpur. During his university career, 100 M.D.s in Ayurveda and 35 PhDs graduated under his much sought out guidance. Dr. Singh is currently a consultant on Ayurveda to the Indian Central Government's Department of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha & Homeopathy). Vaidya Singh is a Visiting Faculty member of Vedika Global.
In his most recent publication, Body-Mind-Spirit Integrative Medicine in Ayurveda, Yoga and Nature Cure, launched by Vedika Global in February 2010, Vaidya Singh describes Ayurveda as a health-oriented system of medicine that encompasses the four dimensions of life: physical, mental, social and spiritual. He speaks of Ayurveda as an integrative science gives priority to promoting health, longevity and mental competence, and preventing disease. Treating disease is its secondary priority. The role of the doctor is to act as nature's assistant. |
