What are the scriptures?

In India, ancient compendiums compiled thousands of years ago by elevated souls called Rishis, Sadhus or sages …… in the fields of Ayurveda, Yoga and Vedanta are called scriptures or Granthas. Generally, scriptures are considered the parent source of a traditional body of knowledge such as Ayurveda; and in India, scriptures are held in highest regard because they are containers of timeless truths.

It is these source texts and scriptures and none other that will form the foundation of transmission of knowledge in Ayurveda.

In addition to frequently referencing and studying the translations of these texts, the students will learn to recite relevant passages in Sanskrit as a means to go more deeply into their meaning.

Sanskrit classes (reading, writing, speaking, pronouncing) will also be organized for the students to facilitate this form of incorporation of knowledge.
