Dispel the ideas that Ayurvedic cooking is too elaborate or time consuming,  way out there and too esoteric for daily life!

Learn to cook healthy snacks, wellbeing enhancing entrées, fulfilling meals and satisfying desserts to brighten your day.

Come participate in a celebration of color, spices, tastes and aroma with Chef Sanjai who brings alive the cooking due to his own passion of eating great Ayurvedic foods!

Walk the path of traditional Ayurvedic cooks; learn the tips and secrets not to be found in cook books out there! Learn pass-me-down recipes from generations beyond memory.

So what are we cooking?

Chai Yes of course, and something tangy and spicy to go with it? Newer concept, but in India, having a hot cup of chai on a tongue burning with spices is considered the ultimate satiation!! That snack would be Hari Matar (Green Peas) sauteed with cumin and ginger (and may be some asafetida) to go with chai.

Yes, we will play a milder version of it ? can't have a bunch of "fired up" pittas in the class!

Once the starters are in place ? we can move on to the main business - a simple wholesome Ayurvedic meal. We will make ghee from butter, and we will use the same ghee for our cooking.

Farmers' Daal -  the Ayurvedic protein source that is cooked in Indian villages till date, wholesome, digestive and out of the world! Not to be found in Indian restraints.

Masala Bhaat good old rice cooked differently and made lot more digestive and less fattening when cooked with choice spices.

Prana infused Veggies ? all types of veggies cooked the simple and fast way with spices to bring alive flavors and promote digestion and reduce toxins.

Vegetable Raita - for tasty digestive dairy

Roti the Indian bread for whole grains

Cheela - easy lentil crepes for a wholesome protein snack

Do we have room for more? Time permitting we will explore few more things to cook!

See you in class!

Chef Sanjai
