A Sangha is defined as a conscious community with a common goal, vision or purpose

Mission

Vedika Sangha’s mission is to build conscious communities called Sanghas worldwide through by promotion of Vedic wisdom contained in the sciences of Ayurveda, Yoga and Ayurveda.

Through the living of Vedic wisdom, individual and collective health is protected, values are built, families are strengthened and society is purified.

Objectives

Inside the Sanghas, the following types of information will be made available and practiced by Sangha members collectively:

Transformative Life Skills

Transformative life skills from the sciences of Ayurveda will be imparted inside Sanghas: This knowledge will promote self love, self respect and care. Information includes,

  • Ayurveda Lifestyle
  • Ayurveda foods ­eating wisely
  • Ayurveda beauty and self care rituals
  • Kitchen pharmacy ­ how to heal naturally
  • Cooking for health and wellbeing

Additional topics can include Sangha discussions on: conception, pregnancy, PMS, menopause, stress management, sexuality, aging with grace, and seasonal cleansing.

Advanced Workshops will also be organized from time to time promoting understanding of body and mind self through the eyes of Ayurveda. Topics may include: Introduction to Ayurveda; The 5 elements that make us up; Physical constitution ­ Doshas; Mental constitution ­ Gunas.

Transformative Spiritual Practices

Spiritual practices from Yoga and Vedanta tradition will be imparted to Sangha members to connect them to Source:

  • Yoga to heal body and mind
  • Pranayama to regulate and enhance our prana
  • Meditation
  • Mudras to master our energy flow
  • Subtle therapies to cleanse the senses
  • Power of prayer (to our chosen ideal of god)
  • Mindful Rituals such as a meditative practice, walks in nature, building natural altars
