Vaidya Abhijit’s father is a pediatrician and general physician who ran a hospital in the heart of Pune. Through his father’s mentoring, Abhijit was blessed with extensive clinical knowledge, with an emphasis on examining and understanding the patient in depth rather than relying on clinical test results. Yet Abhijit observed that many patients would return again and again with the same problems, and an intuitive feeling developed in him that traditional medicine would be able to help people experience lasting results. So he chose to study Ayurveda.

Vaidya Abhijit’s intuitive faith in Ayurveda grew as he studied and earned his Ayurvedacharya (B.A.M.S.) Degree from Pune University and his Ayurveda Vachaspati  (M.D. in Ayurveda) from Gopalbandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalay in Puri, where he specialized in Kayachikitsa (Internal Medicine) with special focus on skin diseases. He was blessed with excellent mentors, and continues to draw special inspiration from Vaidya Vilas Nanal.

Vaidya Abhijit Jinde has been a practicing Ayurvedic physician since 2002 with his own private Panchakarma clinic in Pune — Sukhayu Ayurveda Clinic — where he specializes in computer related disorders, spine and knee care, and life-style diseases. His clinic incorporates a holistic approach, emphasizing Panchakarma therapies along with lifestyle & diet management, therapeutic Yoga, posture corrections, physiotherapy, and Vastu-shastra corrections. Vaidya Abhijit is also a specialty consultant for skin diseases, diabetes and digestive care at Vishwanand Kendra, a Yoga Ayurveda Naturotherapy Clinic in Pune, where he heads a Panchakarma Therapist Course affiliated with the  Mumbai Vocational Board of Government of Maharashtra.

Vaidya Abhijit has been keenly involved in research, particularly in diabetes and osteoarthritis. He is currently developing a unique research project using a holistic approach to diabetes prevention, using classical Ayurvedic principles to understand the role of specific aspects of diet, lifestyle, occupation, prakriti, and the impact of Panchakarma on prevention, as well as better  management of Diabetes.

Vaidya Abhijit attributes his inner strength and conviction to the blessing of his guru, Swami Makarandnath from whom he was fortunate to receive diksha before commencing his clinical practice. Students at Vedika appreciate Vaidya Abhijit’s knowledge and clarity, along with his deep respect for his own teachers and for the classical texts of Ayurveda. They see in him the way such respect enables him to continue cultivating greater insights into the wisdom of Ayurveda.
