ISHANI LAUREN NAIDU
Ishani Lauren Naidu is a Vedika Certified Ayurveda Health Educator who serves as Editor in Chief of The Hamsa magazine, which is an offering of Vedika’s Spiritual Studies program. She started studying with Acharya Shunya in 2009. She previously served as Acharya Shunya’s personal assistant, hosted visiting faculty members and served as a librarian. In her free time she writes stories for children exploring themes of Ayurveda and Vedanta, and teaches children and teens Ayurveda as a body mind and soul health science in schools and colleges in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
She has a bachelors degree in Sociology from Boston University and has previously worked in nonprofits developing curricula for teens on social justice issues, counseling youth on independent living skills, and managing retail and business operations for a local clothing designer.
She feels deeply satisfied to be able to serve Vedika after seeing how the teachings and sacredness of Vedika have transformed herself and so many others for the better. Ishani is inspired by the wisdom and selfless service flowing from the Vedika lineage and Acharya Shunya. To the extent that she becomes more grounded in her Self, she feels deeply drawn to be of service to her teachers, community and others.
