Uma Melanie Estarziau is Vedika Global’s Kitchen Seva team lead, who coordinates Ayurvedic cooking and meal preparation for the Vedic Spiritual Studies Program and the 1-Year Ayurveda Self-Healing Course. She also served as the student assistant for the 1-Year Ayurveda Self-Healing Course, providing video conferencing support, question and answer transcription, and outlining recorded classes.

Uma has a bachelor's degree in Spanish, and a master's degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Epidemiology. She is a Senior Research Associate at James Bell Associates where she researches programs aimed to improve the health and well-being of children, families, and communities.

Uma has completed both Vedika's 2-Month and 1-Year Ayurveda Self-Healing Course where she has learned to use spices and herbs to cure common colds, improve skin clarity, detoxify her body, and promote anti-aging. She has also learned how and what to eat seasonally, keeping her in alignment with Mother Nature and her overall well-being and vitality has improved.

She has been a member of the Vedic Spiritual Studies Program since 2017.

Once a month, Uma and her husband share their love for Ayurveda by cooking an organic, seasonally appropriate meal in their home and hand delivering it to members of their community who are homeless.
