Governance and Organizational
Structure

Our Organizational Commitment

Vedika Global Inc. (Vedika Global) operates with a commitment to transparency, responsible stewardship, and respect for the spiritual lineage whose teachings it serves.

Governance and Board Leadership

Vedika Global Inc. is governed by a Board of Directors that provides stewardship, oversight, and guidance for the charitable mission of the organization. The Board works to ensure that the organization operates responsibly and remains aligned with its educational and spiritual purpose.

As a religious nonprofit founded to preserve and share the teachings of the Sarayu Parampara, Vedika Global was established under the leadership of its founder and president, Acharya Shunya. Members of the Board of Directors are invited to serve by the founder and president, in consultation with trusted advisors. Board members are chosen for their integrity, experience, and commitment to the organization's mission.

Conflict of Interest and Fiduciary Responsibility

Members of the Board of Directors serve in a fiduciary role and are entrusted with acting in the best interest of the organization and its charitable purpose. Board members are expected to conduct themselves with integrity and transparency and to disclose any personal, financial, or professional relationships that could create a potential conflict of interest.

When such situations arise, appropriate steps are taken to ensure that decisions are made in a manner that preserves the independence and integrity of the organization.

Financial Responsibility

Vedika Global Inc. has operated with a commitment to financial responsibility and careful stewardship of resources. As of March 2026, the organization carries no outstanding debt and has historically avoided borrowing in order to sustain its charitable work.

Programs and operations are supported through donations, program revenue, and responsible budgeting. The organization seeks to maintain financial stability so that the teachings and educational programs can continue without placing future burdens on the community.

Ethical and Responsible Conduct

Vedika Global Inc. strives to conduct its activities with integrity, transparency, and respect for the laws and regulations governing nonprofit organizations. The organization has sought to maintain a culture of ethical responsibility in its programs, governance, and financial stewardship.

Questions or concerns regarding organizational practices may be directed to the organization so that they can be reviewed appropriately.

Relationship Between the Lineage and the Organization

The Sarayu Parampara is a living stream of wisdom carried through generations of teachers. Vedika Global Inc. serves as the contemporary nonprofit vehicle through which these teachings are preserved, shared, and made accessible to sincere seekers today.

While the organization provides the administrative and charitable structure through which programs are offered, the Sarayu lineage itself is a spiritual tradition that exists independently of the nonprofit corporation. The teachings arise from the lineage and are transmitted through its teachers, while Vedika Global serves as a vehicle to make these teachings accessible to a wider community.

Donation Policy

Vedika Global gratefully accepts charitable contributions that support the educational, spiritual, and community programs of the organization.

Unless otherwise specified, donations are treated as unrestricted gifts that support the general operations of Vedika Global. These funds help sustain the sharing of teachings, educational programs, publishing efforts, digital infrastructure, and administrative operations necessary for the continued functioning of the organization.

Vedika Global also maintains certain designated funds that donors may choose to support. One such fund is the Acharya and Shastra Gratitude Fund, which supports the life and teaching work of Acharya Shunya and the preservation and transmission of the wisdom traditions she carries.

All donations are used solely for the charitable purposes of Vedika Global.

Refund Policy

Charitable donations are generally non-refundable.

If a donation has been made in error, or if a technical error results in an unintended duplicate transaction, donors may contact Vedika Global within a reasonable time so the matter can be reviewed and corrected.

Requests may be sent to:

Donor Privacy Policy

Vedika Global respects the privacy of all donors.

Donor information is used solely for internal communication, acknowledgment of gifts, and organizational record keeping. Vedika Global does not sell, rent, or share donor information with outside organizations or mailing lists, and has never done so.

All personal and financial information provided by donors is handled with care and stored securely.

Donor Rcognition Policy

Vedika Global values the generosity of those who help sustain the work of the organization.

Donors may be acknowledged publicly in certain circumstances, including community communications, donor lists, or recognition circles such as the Flame Keepers or other stewardship groups. Such recognition is offered as a way of expressing gratitude and encouraging a culture of shared stewardship.

For significant contributions, Vedika Global may choose to recognize donors in a more discreet manner unless permission is given for public acknowledgment.

Donors may also request to remain anonymous at any time.

Non-discrimination Statement

Vedika Global welcomes individuals from all backgrounds to participate in its educational programs and community offerings.

The organization does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or economic status.

The teachings are offered in the spirit of openness and respect for all sincere seekers.

Non-Discrimination and Community Respect Policy

As a spiritual learning community rooted in Vedic wisdom, Vedika Global does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, or background.

Images appearing on our website or materials may include photographs of real participants, teachers, historical lineage figures, or publicly available stock imagery used for design purposes. The images shown do not represent a curated demographic requirement but reflect the actual participants and resources available at a given time.

Vedika Global does not select participants or teachers based on demographic representation. Individuals who join programs do so voluntarily, and the visible composition of the community naturally reflects those who choose to participate.

Because the teachings emphasize respect for all beings, participants are expected to interact with one another in a spirit of dignity and mutual respect. Claims of discrimination made without basis, or attempts to disrupt the community through accusations directed at individuals or the organization, may be addressed by the organization to protect the integrity of the learning environment.

Vedika Global remains committed to offering teachings openly and respectfully to anyone who approaches the tradition with sincerity.

Vedic Study Circle Community Policy

The Vedic Study Circle is offered as an open space for the study and contemplation of Vedic wisdom. Participation in the Study Circle does not require membership fees or formal enrollment.

Participants may be asked to provide minimal information, such as name, email address, city or state, areas of interest, and a signature acknowledging the spirit of respectful participation. This information is collected only to help coordinate communication within the community. Vedika Global does not independently verify the identity of participants and relies on the good faith of those who choose to join the Study Circle.

The teachings are made freely accessible in the spirit of openness and service to sincere seekers.

Because the Study Circle functions as a shared learning environment, participants are expected to engage respectfully with the teachings and with one another.

Vedika Global reserves the right to restrict or remove access for individuals whose behavior is disruptive, abusive, or harmful to the learning environment or the community. This may include conduct that interferes with respectful dialogue, disrupts gatherings or discussions, or misuses the platform in ways that are inconsistent with the purpose of the Study Circle.

These measures are taken only when necessary in order to preserve a safe, respectful, and focused space for study.

Privacy and Use of Participant Information Policy

Vedika Global may collect limited information from participants, such as names, email addresses, and general location, for the purpose of program communication and community coordination. This information is used only for organizational communication related to Vedika Global programs and activities. Vedika Global does not sell or share participant information with third parties and takes reasonable care to protect the privacy of its community.

Participation of Minors Policy

Vedika Global programs are generally intended for adult participants engaged in spiritual study and personal inquiry. Unless a program is specifically announced as appropriate for families or younger participants, individuals under the age of eighteen should participate only with the knowledge and supervision of a parent or guardian.

Program Access, Changes, and Scheduling Policy

Vedika Global strives to maintain the schedule and format of its programs as announced. At times, adjustments may be necessary due to teacher availability, unforeseen circumstances, or evolving program needs. The organization therefore reserves the right to modify program schedules, instructors, formats, or delivery methods when required in order to serve the educational mission of the organization and the wellbeing of participants.

Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy

Teachings, writings, recorded classes, course materials, and other educational resources shared through Vedika Global are protected as intellectual and spiritual works of the lineage. These materials are offered for personal study and contemplation. They may not be reproduced, distributed, published, or repackaged as independent teaching content without permission from Vedika Global. Respecting these boundaries helps preserve the integrity of the teachings and the lineage from which they arise.

Intellectual Property and Teaching Use

Teachings, recordings, written materials, and other educational content shared through Vedika Global remain the intellectual property of the organization and its teachers.

These materials are offered for personal study and spiritual learning. Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of these materials without written permission from Vedika Global is not permitted.

Recording and Media Use Policy

Vedika Global programs may include audio, video, or photographic recording for the purpose of preserving teachings and sharing educational material.

Many programs are conducted online through platforms such as Zoom. Participants who join these gatherings may appear on screen through their video image, voice, name, or shared comments.

Vedika Global does not have the capacity to obtain separate consent from each participant in every gathering. By choosing to participate in online programs, participants acknowledge that their image, voice, or comments may be visible to others in the session and may be included in recordings used for educational or archival purposes.

Participants who prefer not to appear in recordings may choose to keep their camera off or refrain from speaking during recorded sessions.

All recordings remain the property of Vedika Global and may not be reproduced, distributed, or publicly shared without permission.

Use of Affiliation and Representation

Individuals who participate in programs of Vedika Global Inc., including the Vedic Study Circle or other courses and retreats, may not represent themselves as official teachers, representatives, or spokespersons of Vedika Global or the Sarayu Parampara unless they have received explicit authorization from the organization.

Unauthorized Public Events, Retreats or Study Groups

Participants and students may independently organize study groups, retreats, or gatherings inspired by the teachings they have received. Such activities are undertaken in a personal capacity unless formally organized or endorsed by Vedika Global Inc.

Vedika Global is not responsible for independently organized events or for representations made by individuals acting outside the organization.

Teachings Integrity and Use of Materials

Vedika Global teachings arise from a living Vedic lineage and are offered for study, contemplation, and personal spiritual growth. Course materials, recorded classes, and structured teachings may not be reproduced, repackaged, or presented publicly as one's own teaching without permission.

Students who wish to share aspects of these teachings publicly are asked to acknowledge the source and lineage appropriately.

Participants are also asked not to publicly represent themselves as speaking on behalf of Acharya Shunya, the Sarayu lineage, or Vedika Global without explicit authorization.

Public statements or teachings that attribute views or authority to the Acharya or the organization without permission may be addressed in order to preserve the integrity of the lineage.

Spiritual Orientation and Respect for Traditions

Vedika Global shares teachings rooted in the ancient Vedic wisdom traditions of India. These teachings arise from a lineage that has historically been associated with what is today called the Hindu tradition.

At the same time, the teachings themselves represent a much older stream of inquiry into the nature of consciousness, life, and the Self. They are offered as a path of wisdom and contemplation rather than as a system of religious conversion.

Participants in Vedika Global programs come from many different backgrounds and faith traditions. The organization respects all religions and spiritual paths, and no one is expected to change their personal beliefs or religious identity in order to study these teachings.

Because the teachings draw from the Vedas, the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, and the devotional traditions of Hindu deities and sacred symbolism, these elements may appear in classes, meditations, chants, and teachings. They are presented as part of a living philosophical and spiritual heritage.

Participants are asked to approach these traditions with openness and respect. Vedika Global does not seek to convert individuals to any religion. Rather, the intention is to offer a space where sincere seekers may study wisdom teachings and explore the nature of the Self.

Individuals who repeatedly show disrespect toward the teachings, the traditions from which they arise, or other participants in the community may be asked to step away from programs in order to preserve a respectful learning environment.

Community Interaction and Independent Relationships

Vedika Global programs bring together participants from many parts of the world who share an interest in Vedic wisdom and spiritual study. Through classes, retreats, and online gatherings, students may come to know one another and sometimes choose to connect outside the formal learning environment.

Such connections are natural in a learning community. However, Vedika Global does not organize, supervise, or manage private interactions between participants outside of its official programs.

Participants may independently create social media groups, messaging forums, private study circles, or in-person gatherings. They may also choose to travel together or coordinate accommodations, meals, or other arrangements when attending retreats, events, or teachings. These activities are arranged privately by participants and are not supervised or managed by Vedika Global.

Even when students gather in the presence of Vedika Global teachers, personal decisions related to travel, lodging, meals, transportation, or social interactions remain the responsibility of the individuals involved.

For this reason, Vedika Global does not mediate personal disagreements, disputes, or conflicts that arise within private interactions between participants. These matters remain the responsibility of the individuals involved.

If concerns arise within official Vedika Global spaces, such as classes, forums, or events directly hosted by the organization, participants may contact the organization so that appropriate steps can be considered.

Vedika Global’s role is to steward the teachings and provide a respectful environment within the programs it hosts. Relationships that develop beyond those programs remain independent of the organization.

Health and Wellbeing Disclaimer

The teachings offered through Vedika Global may include discussions related to Ayurveda, meditation, lifestyle practices, emotional wellbeing, and spiritual inquiry. These teachings draw from traditional Vedic knowledge systems and are shared for educational and contemplative purposes.

They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or psychological condition.

Vedika Global and its teachers do not provide medical care, mental health treatment, or personal therapeutic services. Participants should consult qualified medical doctors, mental health professionals, or licensed practitioners before making changes to medications, treatments, diet, or lifestyle practices.

Some teachings may explore subjects such as stress, emotional suffering, depression, or the workings of the mind from a philosophical or spiritual perspective. These discussions are part of educational study and should not be understood as medical or psychological advice.

Individuals remain responsible for their own health decisions and personal wellbeing. If participants choose to apply practices or suggestions discussed during teachings, they do so at their own discretion and responsibility.

Vedika Global encourages participants to remain in appropriate relationship with qualified healthcare professionals when addressing medical or psychological concerns

Use of Lineage Titles

Titles such as Acharya, Sadhvi, and Sadhya reflect spiritual roles within the Sarayu Parampara. These titles are not conferred by Vedika Global Inc. as a nonprofit organization.

Recognition of such titles arises within the lineage through the guidance of the Acharya and senior Sadhvis who serve as the ecclesiastical council of the Sarayu Parampara.

Accordingly, these titles may not be assumed, adopted, or publicly used in association with Vedika Global or the Sarayu lineage without such recognition.

Use of name and Logo

The name Vedika Global, its logos, and associated program names may not be used to promote independent teachings, events, or services without permission from the organization.

Community Conduct and Respectful Participation

Vedika Global seeks to maintain a respectful and contemplative learning environment for all participants. Individuals who participate in programs are expected to engage with teachers and fellow participants with courtesy and mutual respect. Behavior that is disruptive, abusive, or harmful to the learning environment may result in removal from programs or gatherings when necessary to preserve the wellbeing of the community.

Spiritual Responsibility

Vedika Global teachings are offered to support inquiry and inner growth. Participants are encouraged to retain personal responsibility for their lives, decisions, and well-being. The role of the teacher(s) is to offer wisdom and guidance within the context of study, not to assume personal authority over individual life choices.

Teacher Boundary Policy

Within Vedika Global, teachers may be known by traditional titles such as Acharya, Sadhvi, or Sadhya. These titles reflect a role of spiritual instruction within the Vedic lineage.

The primary responsibility of Vedika Global teachers is to transmit teachings through classes, study programs, satsangs, and educational gatherings. Their guidance is offered within these learning environments so that the teachings can benefit the community as a whole.

Teachers are not able to provide personal counseling, therapy, medical advice, financial advice, legal advice, or mediation in private disputes between students. Vedika Global teachers also do not intervene in personal conflicts, relationships, or disagreements that arise outside the formal teaching environment.

Because of the scale of the community and the responsibilities of teaching, teachers are not able to respond individually to personal requests for guidance, emotional support, or private counsel. Participants should not expect personal responses to emails, messages, or individual appeals sent directly to teachers.

Students are encouraged to bring questions to appropriate learning settings such as classes, study sessions, or community forums where they may be addressed in a way that benefits many participants.

Personal matters involving health, mental wellbeing, relationships, finances, or legal concerns should be addressed with qualified professionals who are trained to provide those services.

These boundaries exist in order to preserve the integrity of the teaching role and to ensure that the time and energy of teachers can remain devoted to the transmission of wisdom for the wider community.

Participants are asked to respect these boundaries as part of maintaining a healthy and respectful learning environment.

Questions, Concerns, or Formal Complaints

Vedika Global encourages respectful communication if questions or concerns arise regarding programs, participation, or organizational policies.

Most matters can be addressed by contacting the organization directly:

If a concern cannot be resolved through normal communication channels, a written request for review may be submitted to the Vedika Global Board of Directors through the same email address. The Board will review matters at its discretion.

Vedika Global is committed to maintaining a respectful learning environment while preserving the integrity of the teachings and the community.

Policy Updates

Vedika Global Inc. may update or revise these policies from time to time in order to reflect the evolving needs of the organization, the community it serves, and applicable legal or regulatory requirements. Updates may occur without prior notice.

The most current version of these policies will always be made available on the Vedika Global website. Continued participation in programs, events, or community activities indicates acceptance of the policies as they are updated.

Spirit of These Policies

These policies are intended to help preserve a respectful learning environment while protecting the integrity of the teachings, the Sarayu Parampara lineage, and the community that gathers around them.

We thank all participants, students, and supporters for honoring these principles and helping sustain a space of sincerity, respect, and shared learning.

With gratitude in service of the teachings,
Team Vedika Global
